The 502 Trifecta is back for the first time this season, and there probably is not a better game to bring it back for.
Louisville gets SMU at home in a ranked matchup that already feels massive. It is only Week 3, but this game could go a long way toward determining who puts themselves in the driver’s seat for a trip to the ACC Championship Game and a possible path into the College Football Playoff.
Jeff Brohm has shown he knows how to get his guys ready for big games, and there has not been a bigger one on the schedule yet this season.
Here is why we like today’s 502 Trifecta at +355.

Louisville ML
This starts with Brohm.
Big game, home crowd, conference implications and a chance for Louisville to make an early statement.
Brohm has had a knack for getting his teams ready when the stage gets bigger, and we expect the same today. Louisville knows exactly what is in front of them. A win over SMU would give the Cards a huge early advantage in the ACC race and put them in a strong position moving forward.
We expect L&N Stadium to be rocking, Brohm to have the fellas ready and Louisville to find a way to get it done.
Give us Louisville ML.
Jaleel Skinner 30+ Receiving Yards
This one is simple.
Skinner has 137 receiving yards on just five catches through Louisville’s first two games. He has already shown how dangerous he can be when he gets the ball in space, and he does not need a ton of volume to make an impact.
We do not expect SMU’s defensive style to allow Louisville to take as many easy deep shots as they have early in the season, but that could actually create more opportunities for Skinner underneath and in the intermediate game.
Give him a few touches in space and let him create chunk plays.
At only 30+ receiving yards, we like his chances to get there and would not be surprised if he ends up having a big day.
Lincoln Kienholz 30+ Rushing Yards
Kienholz currently leads the Cards in rushing yards through two games, which makes this number one we really like.
We expect Louisville to use his legs intentionally in a game this important. A few designed runs could get him a large part of the way to 30 yards by themselves.
Then you add in what he can create when plays break down.
Kienholz has shown the ability to extend plays, escape the pocket and pick up yards when nothing is there. In a game where SMU is going to try to create pressure and make him uncomfortable, there should be opportunities for him to take off.
We expect him to clear 30 rushing yards and are excited to see how the young quarterback handles his biggest game yet.
